    Practicing Law for the Greater Good: Navigating the world of public interest law

    While practicing public interest law upon graduation has become more popular amongst law students, it still falls outside of the status quo. Assistant Dean and Martha Craig Daughtrey Director for Public Interest Beth Cruz, in partnership with the Career Services Office, held an informational panel for Vanderbilt Law students interested in practicing public interest law after graduation.     Warren Haviland, JD’69, and Karen Heffron: Advocates for equality and access to legal services

    Warren Haviland, JD’69, and Karen Heffron funded a charitable remainder unitrust that will eventually establish the Warren E. Haviland and Karen M. Heffron Summer Stipend. The stipend will provide financial support to students at Vanderbilt Law School who are pursuing public interest careers. Read More
