Inclement Weather

As a dangerous ice storm swept through Middle Tennessee in late January, Vanderbilt quickly mobilized to support students, faculty and staff amid widespread power outages and hazardous conditions. The university opened warming centers, adjusted academic schedules and provided frequent updates, while facilities, dining and public safety teams worked around the clock to keep campus safe and operational. Following the recent winter storm and widespread power outages, Vanderbilt University is opening the David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center to faculty, staff, students and members of the larger Nashville and Middle Tennessee community in need of a safe, warm place to rest and recharge.  Read More

Through an initiative supported by a new University Policy Office in the Office of the General Counsel, the university has launched a policy portal that houses all approved University Policies in a searchable, easy-to-navigate centralized repository.
