Jun. 7, 2019—The anticipated timeline for the search for Vanderbilt’s next chancellor and the search firm that will support the process were discussed at a town hall-style gathering for the Vanderbilt community on June 5.
May. 30, 2019—Board of Trust Chairman Bruce R. Evans and John Geer, dean of the College of Arts and Science and chair of the Chancellor Search Advisory Committee, will host a Vanderbilt community update on Wednesday, June 5, in Featheringill Hall to gather input and share information about the priorities and process guiding the search for Vanderbilt’s next leader.
May. 24, 2019—Through a feedback form, students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and members of the broader community can provide their thoughts on what qualities the next chancellor should hold and the priorities that should be considered during the search process.

Apr. 12, 2019—Vanderbilt University Board of Trust Chairman Bruce R. Evans has appointed a Chancellor Search Committee for Vanderbilt University’s ninth chancellor. The committee comprises current and emerita members of the Board of Trust and will lead efforts to search for and select a candidate for recommendation to the full Board of Trust.
Apr. 2, 2019—Vanderbilt University Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos announced today that he will step down as the university’s eighth chancellor on Aug. 15 after more than a decade in the role. Zeppos plans to take a yearlong sabbatical before returning to the faculty as professor of law.
Jan. 23, 2019—Vanderbilt University School of Nursing opened a new $23.6 million building expansion containing a state-of-the-art simulation lab, technologically advanced classrooms and student services offices with a grand opening and ribbon cutting event on Jan. 22.
