Oct. 3, 2016—Ingrid Mattson, a prominent Islamic studies scholar and Muslim religious leader, is the 2016 Cole Lecturer at Vanderbilt Divinity School.
Jul. 14, 2016—A near-capacity crowd of about 400 Vanderbilt community members, including Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos, gathered at Benton Chapel Monday to contemplate and discuss the recent national tragedies involving the violent shooting deaths of two African American men and five Dallas police officers.
Jun. 12, 2016—Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos shares his thoughts on Sunday's mass shooting in Orlando. Vanderbilt community members who wish to come together to remember the victims of the tragedy may do so at events held this week at the K.C. Potter Center and Benton Chapel.
Mar. 14, 2016—Members of the Vanderbilt community will gather Friday, March 18, to remember Owen Graduate School of Management student Taylor Force, who was killed March 8 in a terrorist attack in Tel Aviv, Israel. The service is closed to the public, and because of limited seating in the chapel, priority will be given to members of the Owen School community and those who knew Force well.
