Aug. 14, 2019—An assessment team from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. will visit Vanderbilt University’s campus on Aug. 19 to examine all aspects of the Vanderbilt University Public Safety Communications Unit’s policies and procedures, management, operations and support services.
Jul. 18, 2016—The International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators has re-accredited Vanderbilt University’s police department. Vanderbilt is one of two campus law enforcement agencies in the state to hold IACLEA accreditation.
Jun. 16, 2016—Vanderbilt University School of Nursing has received accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education for its master of science in nursing degree, doctorate in nursing practice and post-master’s certificate programs for a five-year period through 2021.
Mar. 22, 2016—The Susan Gray School, part of Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of education and human development, again has achieved accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the foremost professional association for the field of early childhood education.
Dec. 2, 2015—The Vanderbilt University Police Department has been awarded accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. for the third time. CALEA accreditation serves as the international gold standard for public safety agencies.
