Message from Vice Provost Tracey George: International travel restrictions update
Out of an abundance of caution and to protect the health and safety of the university community and the most vulnerable among it, Vanderbilt is restricting university-sponsored international travel to any country effective Tuesday, March 10, through April 30. Based on a desire to protect the health and safety of the Vanderbilt community from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Interim Chancellor and Provost Susan R. Wente is cancelling all university classes for the remainder of the week of March 9. In addition, beginning Monday, March 16, and through at least March 30, the university is suspending all in-person classes and is moving to online and other alternative learning options. Students who have had direct contact with someone who is infected with COVID-19, or who have traveled to China, South Korea, Iran or Italy, are not permitted to return to campus until they have completed a 14-day self-isolation period and been cleared to return to campus.
