Call for proposals: Vanderbilt Center for Languages Scholars
The VCL Scholars serve as an integral part of the Vanderbilt Center for Languages' mission of fostering interdisciplinary work. Applicants may propose a program of research for publication, conference presentation, or the creation of a new academic initiative. The Vanderbilt Center for Languages (VCL) is particularly interested in funding proposals that generate knowledge that benefits a broad constituency. Two Vanderbilt alumni selected for prestigious Schwarzman Scholars program
Two members of the Class of 2025, Benedict Ballman and Rui Huang, have been chosen for the 11th cohort of the highly selective Schwarzman Scholars international graduate fellowship program. Pre-proposals now accepted for 2026 NIH S10 Shared and High-End Instrumentation Grants
Vanderbilt investigators are invited to submit pre-proposals for the 2026 NIH S10 Shared and High-End Instrumentation Grant programs, which support the purchase of state-of-the-art shared research equipment for NIH-funded research. Residential Colleges is accepting applications for 2026 Faculty VUceptors
Each fall, Vanderbilt University welcomes a cohort of more than 1,600 new first-year undergraduate students. As new students learn what it means to be a member of the Vanderbilt community, they participate in an extended orientation program called Vanderbilt Visions—small seminars with 18–20 students designed to support their transition to college life, foster community connection and introduce them to the wide range of resources available to support their success. Each Visions group is facilitated by a faculty member and an upper-division peer mentor, known as VUceptors, who work together to model dynamic and meaningful faculty-student engagement. University REDCap users must migrate projects to new instance by April 15
Effective Nov. 18, 2025, Vanderbilt University deployed a dedicated REDCap instance, separate from Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
