Nominations open for spring faculty awards through Dec. 11

Nominations are now open for Vanderbilt’s top faculty awards, which demonstrate the university’s appreciation for and commitment to excellence. All faculty are eligible to submit nominations, which are due by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11. Faculty are not eligible to be nominated for awards they have previously won. Read More

Dress for Success: Commodore Closet provides students professional attire at no cost
Students browse the Commodore Closet on opening day.
Vanderbilt students now have access to free professional clothing, thanks to the launch of the Commodore Closet. This resource helps students prepare for interviews, career fairs and other professional events without the financial burden of purchasing clothes. Faculty and staff are invited to drop off new or gently used professional attire in the donation bins at the Career Center, the Commodore Closet or The Commons. Read More

Vanderbilt, Bridgestone bring students, faculty, industry together to brainstorm solutions to mobility, manufacturing and retail challenges
Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs C. Cybele Raver discusses the Vanderbilt Bridgestone corporate partnership with Lindsay Porter, Bridgestone West’s vice president of enterprise alliances and chief of staff.
Participants shared ideas and posed solutions for addressing challenges in the mobility industry, manufacturing and automotive retail. These topics ranged from sustainable operations and embedded sensors to product strategy and talent development.
