Vanderbilt names technology visionary Matthew Johnson-Roberson as its first dean of the College of Connected Computing

Johnson-Roberson, a visionary technology scholar and highly accomplished academic leader, will be the inaugural dean of the College of Connected Computing, the university’s first new college to be established in more than 40 years, C. Cybele Raver, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, announced today. His appointment begins May 1, 2025. Read More

Actor, philanthropist Gary Sinise to deliver 2025 Graduates Day address

Gary Sinise, humanitarian, actor and musician, will receive Vanderbilt University’s prestigious Nichols-Chancellor’s Medal when he speaks at the university’s 2025 Commencement activities. Sinise’s Graduates Day address will be on May 8 at 11 a.m. at the David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center Indoor Practice Facility. Read More
