Are you searching for health and well-being resources for yourself or another Vanderbilt student?
Vanderbilt staff are ready to provide you with support and care. Below are some of the health and well-being resources available through the Student Care Network.*
Student Care Coordination
Student Care Coordination can be your first place to go for help figuring out what you need and where and how to get support. Student care coordinators work with you to develop a success plan, tell you about and connect you with appropriate on- and off-campus resources, and help keep you accountable (if you want) with follow-up meetings and support. To get started, fill out the intake form and schedule an appointment or attend a Drop-In Care Coordination session. The drop-in schedule is on the SCC website.
University Counseling Center
The University Counseling Center provides assessments for some conditions, medication management and counseling. Drop-In Consultations are a quick way to informally connect with a therapist without an appointment. The UCC also offers group therapy and workshops that provide supportive and affirming spaces where students can talk about their challenges and build connections.
Center for Student Wellbeing
The Center for Student Wellbeing has a range of programs that help support your personal development and academic success. The CSW also offers Weekly Wellbeing Practices, recovery support services and individual coaching.
Student Health Center
The Student Health Center can handle the primary health care needs of eligible students. There are no office co-pays for routine visits. Whether you are sick or injured, managing a chronic health problem or working to develop a healthier lifestyle, the SHC is here to help.
- Parking update: Starting Aug. 1, reserved spaces for the Student Health Center will be in Lot 31 (near the Center for Student Wellbeing) and Lot 63 on 24th Avenue South. The map below shows the new parking configuration and updated walking paths to the SHC.

QPR Launch
The Student Care Network is now offering Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR) suicide prevention training. This program equips students, faculty and staff to recognize warning signs of someone in crisis and gives them the tools and confidence to help. If you’d like to learn more, you can request QPR training through the Student Care Network’s Outreach Form.
Drop-In Services
Drop-in services are offered by the Student Care Network and other offices across campus. These services provide a quick and convenient way to talk about your concerns, find resources to help, and connect with staff members. Please look for the schedules for available satellite services and drop-in services.
Self-Directed Tools and Telehealth
It’s not always possible or convenient to meet with on-campus support staff. To help provide you with support anywhere at any time, Vanderbilt has several resources that supplement SCN services.
- Sign up for mental health telehealth: Schedule a visit with a therapist virtually by visiting the Mantra Health hub.
- Headspace mindfulness app: Vanderbilt has arranged for students to have free access to Headspace—an award-winning, research-backed digital tool for mindful living. Headspace has been shown to reduce stress, improve focus and increase resilience and happiness. Enroll in Vanderbilt’s Headspace program.
- Welltrack Connect is a therapy database that can help students find therapy providers off campus. Students can create a free account using their Vanderbilt email address and search providers in Nashville or another state. Students can use filters to search through different factors to find their best match. Providers can also be filtered by the colleges they serve, where those listed as serving the Vanderbilt community have been invited to join by Student Care Coordination.
- To sign up, visit Welltrack Connect, select “Student” and use your Vanderbilt email address to create a username and password. Agree to the Terms of Use and “Sign Up.” You’ll receive a confirmation email, which you’ll need to follow to finish the process. Then you can search the tailored directory of providers who specialize in student mental health.
You can check out other resources on the SCN’s Self-Directed Tools page.

If you think a Commodore is in distress and could benefit from wellness support and professional resources, you can submit a student of concern form. (Information about when you should submit a student of concern form is on the Student Care Network website.)
*Students eligible for SCN services are those who have been assessed and paid the student health fee.
