A series of road and lane closures are planned near the Roberts Academy construction site starting on Monday, April 7, to conduct underground utility work:
April 7
- Section of 18th Avenue South fully closed to traffic (see map for more details).
- Single-lane closure at the intersection of 18th Avenue South and Edgehill Avenue.
- Traffic controllers on-site will assist with vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
- Potholing will occur along Appleton Place behind the Six Magnolia Building. The road will remain open.
April 8
- Section of 18th Avenue South fully closed to traffic (see map for more details).
- Single-lane closure at the intersection of 18th Avenue South and Edgehill Avenue.
- Traffic controllers on-site will assist with vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
- Potholing will occur within the parking area of the Peabody Maintenance Building.
April 9
- Section of 18th Avenue South fully closed to traffic (see map for more details).
- Single-lane closure at the intersection of 18th Avenue South and Edgehill Avenue.
- Traffic controllers on-site will assist with vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
- Partial closure of parking lot 81. This is an annual permit lot and will reopen on April 10.
April 10
- Single-lane closure on 18th Avenue South.
- Single-lane closure at the intersection of 18th Avenue South and Edgehill Avenue.
- Traffic controllers on-site will assist with vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
April 11
- Single-lane closure on 18th Avenue South.
- Single-lane closure at the intersection of 18th Avenue South and Edgehill Avenue.
- Traffic controllers on-site will assist with vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
April 12
- Single-lane closure on 18th Avenue South.
- Traffic controllers on-site will assist with vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Parking lots 77, 79, 78A and 81 will remain open to annual permit holders and visitors. Sony Upper and Lower garages will remain open to daily parking enrollees. An accessible sidewalk will remain open at all times, and traffic controllers on-site will assist with pedestrian traffic.
Be sure to plan ahead. Delays are expected, so map out your alternative route or schedule extra time for your commute.
