Vanderbilt offers enriching summer camps for 2025

Summer is just around the corner, and Vanderbilt University is offering a wide-ranging variety of summer camps and programs for kids. From athletics to academics and arts, there is something for everyone to enjoy and learn—all within Vanderbilt’s supportive and enriching environment. 

Academics and Creative Arts
For the intellectually curious and creatively inclined, Vanderbilt has several prestigious academic and arts-focused programs that encourage scholarly exploration.

  • Vanderbilt Summer Academy at Peabody College of education and human development serves academically advanced students in rising grades 7–12 in one-week and two-week residential opportunities. VSA provides students an accelerated summer experience grounded in academic rigor, while also fostering a strong sense of community and friendship. The majority of VSA courses are taught by Vanderbilt faculty and graduate students. 
  • Summer Academy at Vanderbilt for the Young at Peabody College is tailored for gifted and high-achieving students in rising grades 1–6. SAVY provides an intellectually vibrant environment where young minds can delve into numerous academic subjects and cultivate their passion for knowledge. Six options for full-day, weeklong classes are available. 
  • Career Connections at Peabody College is a program within SAVY that offers rising seventh and eighth grade students the opportunity to explore specific fields of study through immersive classes led by college professors, graduate students, industry experts and master educators. Students experience how expert knowledge and skills are applied in different fields, industries and/or research. Three options for full-day, weeklong classes are available. 
  • Nashville Suzuki Institute offers a week of intensive instruction in the Suzuki Method for students of violin, viola and cello ages 4–17. Join Suzuki teachers, students and parents from all over North America for an unforgettable week of music, fun and friendships at the Blair School of Music.17.   • Vanderbilt Youth Orchestras Chamber & Orchestral Summer Intensive is a five-day experience tailored for the most talented young musicians in rising grades 6–12. Students work closely with world-class Vanderbilt Blair School of Music faculty musicians, ensuring artistic growth and creative inspiration. 
  • Summer Discovery at Vanderbilt offers academically motivated students the chance to explore college life while engaging in real-world-relevant courses across business, leadership & entrepreneurship, medicine & health sciences, humanities and more.

Athletics
Under the guidance of experienced coaches, trainers and players, young athletes can refine their skills while embracing teamwork and sportsmanship.

  • Vanderbilt Baseball camps focus on fundamentals in a fun and energetic atmosphere. Half-day camps are available for rising grades 1–8, and the High School Prospect Camp offers a five-day format with intense instruction. A discount is available to Vanderbilt employees. 
  • Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball offers a unique opportunity for young athletes to experience the program up close with two day camps for rising grades 2–9. Each session features individual attention, small group instruction, contests and competitions, including 5-on-5 play. 
  • Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball hosts a four-day youth camp for players ages 5–12, focusing on skill development, teamwork and game fundamentals. Campers receive hands-on instruction through drills and game play. A team camp also provides high school teams with the chance to compete in a tournament-style atmosphere. 
  • Vanderbilt Football offers a half-day youth camp for rising grades K–8, where campers experience an action-packed week of skill development and camaraderie. A discount is available to Vanderbilt employees. For rising grades 9–12, the Clark Lea Prospect Camps feature a testing circuit, position-specific drills and 1-on-1 competitive work in individual one-day sessions. 
  • Vanderbilt Golf gives kids the opportunity to have fun and become better golfers. This two-day weekend camp is open to boys and girls ages 10–17 of any skill level. Campers receive instruction from the Vanderbilt men’s and women’s golf coaches on fundamentals, technique, rules and etiquette. 
  • Vanderbilt Lacrosse provides a middle school camp for rising grades 5–8 focusing on skills, position play and team concepts. Two camp options are also available for rising grades 8–12. The Elite Camp is designed for experienced players who want to take their game to the next level, while the Goalie Clinic focuses on skills and concepts specific to the goalie position. 
  • Vanderbilt Soccer camps are designed for players of all levels who want to improve their fundamental soccer skills in a fun and encouraging environment. Three weeklong, full-day sessions are available for rising grades K–6 with the option of a half-day. Additional offerings include an evening striker/goalkeeper camp for rising grades 5–9, and half-day prospect camps for females in rising grades 8–12. 
  • Vanderbilt Tennis offers four weeklong camps for kids ages 7–17 at all skill levels. Campers will work on fundamentals, compete in singles and doubles matches and participate in fun games for skill development. A discount is available to Vanderbilt employees. 
  • Vanderbilt Volleyball welcomes players of all ages and skill levels to develop their game in a fun and competitive environment. Offerings include serving, position-specific and advanced skills camps for rising grades 5-12, as well as an all-skills camp for rising grades 3–8. A new team camp offers varsity teams high-level competition and skill development ahead of the season.
