Make your voice heard with Commute Survey for chance to win $100

Survey invitations for the 2024 Commute Survey were emailed to the Vanderbilt community on Oct. 21. Five people who complete the survey by Nov. 3 will be randomly selected to win $100. 

The Office of Transportation and Mobility will use the feedback received from the 2024 survey to shape programs and adjust its goals to better serve the Vanderbilt community. 

If you do not see an invitation in your inbox, check your spam and quarantine folders. Each survey link has a unique code, so do not forward the email to anyone else. If you did not receive the survey, please contact Ryan Corser, survey administrator, at surveys@vanderbilt.edu with questions or issues regarding this survey. 

2023 Survey Result Impacts

The 2023 Vanderbilt Commuter Survey revealed that 60 percent of respondents lived within 10 miles of campus. This information has helped the Office of Transportation and Mobility promote free WeGo Public Transit bus and train rides for students, faculty and staff through the QuickTicket program 

2023 Report Highlights 

  • 51 percent of respondents selected “hybrid” as their work status.  
  • The percentage of commuters driving alone to campus decreased from 70 percent of all commuters in 2019 to 48 percent in 2023. 
  • 15 percent of commuters say walking is their primary mode of transportation to campus. 
  • 24 percent of respondents telecommute as their primary mode of transportation.
