AlertVU full-scale test scheduled for March 19 at 3 p.m.

A full-scale AlertVU test is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19.

AlertVU is used at Vanderbilt to alert all students, faculty and staff in the event of an emergency that poses an imminent threat or danger to the Vanderbilt community. AlertVU message are always delivered to the user’s Vanderbilt email address, and users may also elect to receive messages via mobile phone (voice or text), landline or a personal email address.

How to update your contact information

  • Faculty and Staff
    • Faculty and staff AlertVU contact information will be maintained in Oracle Cloud. All faculty and staff must review their contact information in Oracle Cloud to ensure they continue to receive messages at their desired personal points of contact.
    • Click here to visit your “Personal Details” page in Oracle Cloud (remember to log in via single sign-on) and review or update your AlertVU contact information.

AlertVU Desktop Alert
Software is being installed on desktops across the university and medical center that will display an alert screen like the one above when AlertVU, Vanderbilt’s emergency alert system, is activated.
