Limited Submission Opportunity: The Nora Roberts Foundation Grants Program–December 2023

Vanderbilt University may submit one proposal to The Nora Roberts Foundation Grants Program.

Overview

The Nora Roberts Foundation believes literacy is a human right, and it has made supporting literacy organizations its highest priority. In order to create a beautiful, equitable and safe world, The Nora Roberts Foundation also supports organizations focused on the arts, children, social justice and the environment.

Grant proposals must have a primary focus in one or more of the following areas:

  • Literacy
  • Children
  • Arts
  • Humanitarian

Award information

The average grant from the foundation is $5,000. For first-time grantseekers, the foundation recommends asking for $2,500–$7,500. Budgets are required for requests of $10,000 or more.

While not necessary, the foundation generally shows preference to groups local to the Maryland/D.C./West Virginia area. The foundation has previously funded universities as well as projects based in Tennessee.
