The inaugural Student Care Network Wellbeing Fair will take place on Thursday, March 30, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Library Lawn, weather permitting. Enjoy free food, including shaved ice from Retro Sno, Kernels popcorn and live-spun cotton candy from the Ivory Cotton Bar; chair massages, gentle yoga, sound meditation and breath work sessions with Jo-Jo Jackson; mindfulness activities; and more. This event is open to all Vanderbilt students, faculty and staff.
Schedule of activities:
- 12:40 p.m. – Gentle yoga
- 1:10 p.m. – Sound bath meditation
- 1:40 p.m. – Sound bath meditation
- 2:10 p.m. – Breath work
Yoga mats will be available, or participants are welcome to bring their own.
Additional resources and activities will be led by student organizations, including the Vanderbilt Student Government Health and Wellness Committee, MoveMENTAL, Active Minds, Design for America and the DORE Initiative.
Student Care Network and other Vanderbilt offices will be present at the Wellbeing Fair to share resources with attendees.
Shaded seating and pre-packaged snacks, including nuts, dates and popcorn, will be available.
Students also are invited to collect tickets from student organization and campus partner tables to participate in a finals self-care kit raffle that will be announced after the fair. The kit will include a journal, mindfulness and meditation cards, aromatherapy and more tools to support students through a successful finals week.
