Faculty, staff invited to learn about inner workings of campus at Facilities University

The Vanderbilt University Facilities Department will host several sessions of Facilities University, a series of classes to educate faculty and staff about the inner workings of the department.

The six-class learning experience aims to help staff and faculty understand the intricacies of the department by taking an in-depth look at Plant Operations, Business Operations, Real Estate, the Sustainability and Environmental Management Office and Campus Planning and Construction. These interactive, hands-on courses are designed to create a connection so attendees will learn real-world knowledge they can apply at work and at home.

Facilities University is hosted in person on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for six weeks. The available sessions for 2023 are:

  • Session 2: March 22–April 26
  • Session 3: June 7–July 12
  • Session 4: Sept. 20–Oct. 25
