Pedestrian and northbound vehicular traffic on 21st Avenue will be affected daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Monday, Feb. 6, until Saturday, Feb. 11, for Nashville Department of Transportation work to add curb cuts in preparation for moving the intersection.

One northbound lane of 21st Avenue will be closed from Medical Center Drive to Vivien Thomas Way, and traffic control workers will direct vehicles to the inner northbound lane. Two-way traffic will remain open.

The east sidewalk, near the Peabody Neighborhood, will be closed between Vivien Thomas Way and Edgehill Avenue. Pedestrians are encouraged to use the west sidewalk for the duration of the project. Signs and fencing will be put up to help people safely navigate the work zone.

This work is part of the ongoing additions to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
