Human Resources’ Employee Learning and Engagement and Vanderbilt Work/Life Connections will present “A Microlearning Series on Positive Psychology: Final Experience and Savoring” on Monday, April 11, from 11:30 a.m. to noon CT.
Session description
“We should learn to savor some moments to let time feel worth existing.” –Munia Khan
As the semester draws to a close, we will gather to co-create a final experience infusing awe, gratitude, mindfulness, social connectedness and self-compassion, and create a space to share and explore experiences infusing each into your daily life. We also will explore the concept of savoring—reminiscing about positive events or feelings in the past, appreciating positive events or feelings in the moment, or anticipating positive events or feelings in the future, as well as processes and strategies for savoring.
This session is the culminating experience of Awe, Gratitude, Mindfulness, Connectedness and Self-compassion in our Daily Lives: A Microlearning Series on Positive Psychology. Grounded in positive psychology research, this micro-learning series draws resources and inspiration from the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley; Jon Kabat-Zinn (University of Massachusetts Medical School); Dr. Kristin Neff (University of Texas at Austin); and more. Each session has focused on one aspect of positive psychology.
To participate in this session, we ask that you have participated in at least one other session—either live or recorded—in the series.
Participants in all six sessions will receive a certificate of completion. Recorded sessions for Awe, Gratitude, Mindfulness, Connectedness and Self-compassion are available within Oracle Learning.
This microlearning series is designed and co-hosted by Heather Kamper, Work/Life Connections, and Krista Vaught, Employee Learning and Engagement.
