The Vanderbilt Graduate School will hold a welcome event for its second-year students on Monday, Sept. 27, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Sarratt Cinema.
The event will include remarks from Cybele Raver, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, and André Christie-Mizell, vice provost and dean of the Graduate School. Current graduate students will be available to discuss a variety of campus resources.
A reception in Alumni Hall will follow the event and include light refreshments and group activities.
“These students began their Vanderbilt journeys during a year of many challenges,” Christie-Mizell said. “We were unable to welcome them in our normal fashion last fall. So now we want to celebrate them properly and applaud the resiliency and adaptability they demonstrated during that time.”
The deadline to register for this event is Friday, Sept. 24, at 5 p.m.
