Join the Golden Dores on Saturday, June 12, when the Vanderbilt University affinity group will host its first social event at Fort Negley, 1100 Fort Negley Blvd., Nashville. The Golden Dores is for employees 50 years and more who hope to gain camaraderie and help each other through this fun yet challenging time in their lives.
An informal mixer outside the historic park’s visitor center will be held from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Bring a friend, sack lunch, beverage or snack and prepare to play an icebreaker or two. Prizes will be available.
Stay for an optional walking tour of the park beginning at 12:15 p.m. The tour is approximately one hour and 45 minutes. Comfortable walking shoes are strongly suggested.
More Golden Dores events, including an evening at the Nashville Farmers Market, are planned for later this summer.
