BY THE BOARD OF TRUST OF
VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY
in appreciation of
VANDERBILT STAFF MEMBERS AND POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWS
WHEREAS, Vanderbilt staff members and postdoctoral fellows have made significant contributions during an unprecedented year within the university’s history;
WHEREAS, they have demonstrated immense resilience—whether performing essential duties on campus or finding new ways to support our academic mission remotely;
WHEREAS, they have contributed significantly to university dialogues and actions around equity, diversity and inclusion;
WHEREAS, they have worked tirelessly to support world-class research and an unerring commitment to residential education;
WHEREAS,they have found new ways to provide resources for our students, training for our faculty and hope for the future of our university;
WHEREAS, in the face of difficult balances, they have reinforced their commitment to the Vanderbilt community and all of the people within it;
WHEREAS, they have come together in the spirit of One Vanderbilt to serve as a model of unified purpose and sacrifice that is unique in higher education.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trust expresses its deepest and most sincere gratitude to each and every Vanderbilt staff member and postdoctoral fellow for their hard work, adaptation and compassion during a year that has defined and advanced our ability to persevere.
