The Diabetes Prevention Program is a research-based program designed to help prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. The program’s focus is on developing skills to lose weight, be more physically active and manage stress. Participants meet regularly in a group setting with a trained lifestyle coach for an entire year. The program is offered remotely (via computer, tablet or smartphone) at no charge.
If you have a body mass index of 25 or higher (23 or higher if you are of Asian descent) and are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, then you may be eligible to participate.
