The event is scheduled for March 4-5 at Vanderbilt Divinity School. As a member of the Southeastern HERC, Vanderbilt is offering complimentary registration to all university faculty and staff.

What is HERC?
The Higher Education Recruitment Consortium is a nonprofit consortium of more than 700 colleges, universities, hospitals, research labs, government agencies and related non- and for-profit organizations whose goal is to promote equity and excellence in the higher education space by advancing the ability of member institutions to recruit and retain the most diverse and talented faculty and staff. HERC diversifies the pipeline of faculty, staff and executives in academia through outreach, advertising and by sharing over 40,000 job opportunities and expert career advice. Vanderbilt has been a HERC member institution since 2014.
The Southeastern Higher Education Recruitment Consortium, headquartered at Vanderbilt University, was established in 2014 as the Greater Tennessee HERC, a collaborative response of colleges and universities in Tennessee to the many challenges of academic recruitment and retention. Since that time, it has grown to include membership across Alabama and Mississippi.
As a nonprofit consortium of higher education and affiliated employers, the Southeastern HERC’s sole aim is to help the most diverse and qualified candidates find the right jobs at member institutions. The Southeastern HERC’s core values are excellence and diversity in the higher education workforce and the promotion of work-life balance through assistance to dual-career couples.
