The Summer Solstice marked this year’s Employee Appreciation Day at Dyer Observatory event on Friday, June 21.
Over 200 Vanderbilt employees and their family members enjoyed wonderful weather and participated in fun activities hosted at Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory, an office of the Division of Government and Community Relations.
The Dyer Observatory team treated guests to tours of the Star Chamber, served liquid nitrogen ice cream, and hosted a Q&A session on all things astronomy.
Guests also enjoyed a UFO bounce house, selfie station and other activities.
