Employees are invited to learn more about the the one-year lifestyle change program, the National Diabetes Prevention Program, available to faculty, staff or spouses with prediabetes or a history of gestational diabetes.
Offered by Health Plus, the Diabetes Prevention Program is a research-based program designed to help prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. The focus is on developing skills to lose weight, be more physically active, and manage stress. Participants meet regularly with a trained lifestyle coach in-person or remotely through a computer, tablet or smartphone, for an entire year. There is no charge for the program.
