Students in the Philanthropy and Social Problem Solving class donated $59,000 to local charities this spring. The class is a partnership with The Philanthropy Lab of Fort Worth, Texas. Laura Chauvin, a 1987 graduate in human and organizational development, was honored at Commencement as Peabody’s Distinguished Alumna. Through her nonprofit, Her Best Foot Forward, Chauvin arranges production facilities to support Tanzanian women who create beaded sandals. (Steve Green/Vanderbilt)
