Life Phase Series: ‘Flower Gardening – Tips and Trends’ March 8

Join Laura Barker of Vanderbilt Plant Operations for “Flower Gardening – Tips and Trends” from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, in Medical Center East, Room 8380B. At this session, you will learn about new flowers available for your garden, tips for gardening in challenging terrain, pollinator gardening and more. Make this coming planting season your best ever using tips from an expert on the many aspects of successful flower gardening.

Barker has been at Vanderbilt for nearly eight years with the Grounds Maintenance department of Vanderbilt Plant Operations. She completed a plant and soil science degree at the University of Illinois and has been working in the horticulture industry for more than 16 years. Her interests include reading, cooking and vertical gardening.
