The Shared Governance Committee (SGC) will host a pair of town hall meetings in March to discuss and receive feedback on its report regarding shared governance at Vanderbilt.

The committee, appointed by Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Susan R. Wente based on nominations from the school deans, consists of 11 faculty members from Vanderbilt’s 10 colleges and schools. The committee has been collecting information on peer school practices and meeting with faculty around campus. The SGC recently hosted a series of faculty conversations in Vanderbilt’s colleges and schools.

The committee plans to release a draft version of its report in early March for faculty review and comments. The committee will then host the town halls to discuss the report and receive feedback.

The dates, times and locations of the town halls are as follows:

Thursday, March 22, 3:30–5 p.m.
Sarratt Cinema

Tuesday, March 27, noon–1:25 p.m.
Light Hall, Room 214

Please make a note on your calendar and plan to attend one or both meetings to ensure that your voice is heard.
