“Leading Teams Through Stages of Change” is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the Baker Building, 10th floor training room.

Change is an inevitable part of our work lives. People react to it in different ways and at different paces. In this session, we will discuss the five distinct stages people frequently go through when confronted with change and give you strategies to effectively lead your team through them. We also will look at practical ways to deal with the emotions, pressure and stress that change produces in yourself and your employees.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • describe the symptoms of the five stages of change
  • discuss appropriate leader strategies during each stage
  • communicate change in a way that is meaningful to your employees
  • develop an action plan to help you put these principles into practice

The fee for this class is $60. Payments are processed by journal entry. Please email Jerri Gadson: class title, class date, registered staff member’s name, amount, five-digit charge account number and cost center number, with the cost center approver cc’d.
