Some 5,260 employees, along with their families and friends, attended Vanderbilt’s annual Employee Tailgate Sept. 16 and cheered the Commodores to a victory over Kansas State.
Recreation Field No. 2 came alive with food, games and fun. Kids enjoyed carnival inflatables and an oversized soccer dartboard and rolled around in eight-foot clear bubble balls. Everyone who attended had a chance to spin the prize wheel to win prizes.
Famous Dave’s brought the barbecue, veggie burgers and hotdogs, while the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center served more than 1,100 ice cream sandwiches. The Vanderbilt spirit squad, band and a DJ kept the crowd moving.
Special thanks to the University Staff Advisory Council, Athletics Marketing, the Vanderbilt Credit Union, Health Plus, the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center and the Vanderbilt Legends Club. Guest vendors included Dollywood, Nissan, Ascend, Green Truck Moving, Regions, UBreakIFix, Provident Funding, World Gym, Advanced Financial, Hilton Hotels and H&R Block.
