Research symposium, memorial service to honor Webb Sept. 21

Donna J. Webb, professor of biological sciences and of cancer biology at Vanderbilt University who mentored graduate students and undergraduate researchers in the Department of Biological Sciences and served on the Steering Committee of the Fisk-Vanderbilt Master’s-to-Ph.D. Bridge Program, died May 15. She was 50.

The Department of Biological Sciences will host a memorial service for Webb on Thursday, Sept. 21, at 3 p.m. in Vanderbilt’s Benton Chapel, with a reception to follow in Tillett Lounge at Vanderbilt Divinity School.

Prior to the service, the department will sponsor a research symposium in honor of Webb beginning at 1 p.m. in MRB III, Room 1220. View a complete list of symposium participants.
