Colin Dayan, Robert Penn Warren Professor of the Humanities and professor of law, was featured at the London Review Bookshop March 9 for a reading of and stimulating conversation about her new book Dogs at the Edge of Life (Columbia University Press) with award-winning author Philip Hoare.
Dayan’s book has been described as a provocative meditation on canine lives in cities, culture, history, film and art. Hoare’s books include Leviathan or, The Whale and The Sea Inside. The evening at the London Review Bookshop was hosted by Gareth Evans, curator of film at the Whitechapel Gallery.
Dayan also read at Birkbeck, Whitechapel Gallery and Somerset House during her London book tour.
