The Peabody Office of Professional and Graduate Education held a reception in honor of George C. Hill, vice chancellor for equity, diversity and inclusion, on Jan. 19 in the Wyatt Center Rotunda.
Hill, who was named the university’s chief diversity officer in November, is charged with articulating the vision of and working with Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos and Provost Susan Wente to provide leadership in cultivating an inclusive, diverse and equitable academic community.
Peabody College Dean Camilla Benbow, Peabody Council Representative Camille Cowart, Peabody Graduate Student Association President Sara Green, Associate Dean Monique Robinson-Nichols and Hill offered remarks at the event.
