The Big Short brings Burry’s market genius to silver screen
In 2010 Michael Burry, MD’97, became known as the first financial analyst to predict America’s financial crisis. The New York Times bestseller The Big Short, written by Michael Lewis, tells the story of how Burry and a few others discovered that the mortgage market was on the verge of collapse. The book is now a major motion picture, with Christian Bale playing the role of Burry.
