World on Wednesdays seeks presenters for spring 2016 semester

International Student and Scholar Services is seeking students, faculty, staff and community members who may be interested in collaborating with ISSS for its upcoming World on Wednesdays (WOW) program during spring 2016 as presenters of diverse and international topics.

One mission of ISSS is to facilitate and promote international awareness throughout the Vanderbilt community by sponsoring campus-wide events. WOW seeks to provide an educational program that expands perceptions and prepares community members to become more diverse in perspective and more globally inclusive.

The weekly World on Wednesdays program is designed to educate through an expansive spectrum of new, interesting, classic and specialized topics that relate to global affairs. Past WOWs have featured faculty and student presentations, research findings, study abroad experiences, guest speakers, Vanderbilt organizations, current issues and special cultural occasions.

If your department, organization or any individual member would like to present at World on Wednesdays, please complete the WOW proposal form online. Speakers will be notified of their selection in mid-December. The spring 2016 program will begin Jan. 20 and end April 6. All events are held on Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m. in the Student Life Center’s downstairs meeting rooms 1 and 2, unless otherwise noted.
