As Vanderbilt’s transition to our new streamlined retirement plan structure progresses, updates on “hot topics” and frequently asked questions are being shared in MyVU and MyVUMC.

As Vanderbilt’s retirement plan transition nears completion, employees can take advantage of more features of the new streamlined structure. Beginning this week, you may begin making changes to contribution percentages (amounts) and types (pre-tax vs. Roth) and continue to make investment elections for future contributions online using NetBenefits or by calling the Fidelity Retirement Service Center at 800-343-0860. Paper forms are no longer needed or accepted under the new structure. You’ll also be able to request loans and withdrawals by calling the Fidelity Retirement Service Center at 800-343-0860.

You will be able to find instructions on Vanderbilt’s retirement website to change your contribution percentages on NetBenefits soon.

During this transition period, NetBenefits may not reflect your total account balance until the transfer of assets is complete. You should be able to view your balance and adjust funds beginning the week of April 26. If you have any questions, call the Fidelity Retirement Service Center at 800-343-0860.
