The Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center is kicking off 2015 with several new fitness initiatives.
Biggest Winner
Feb. 2–March 12
This fun program is designed to help you lose weight and build the skills necessary to reach your personal health goals. The program consists of weekly group training sessions and nutrition/mind-body workshops with Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center professional staff. Biggest Winner can only accept 20 participants per session, and registration ends Jan. 26.
Boxing – beginner and advanced level
Feb. 16–April 17
Beginners will learn what type of fighter they are, how to wrap their hands, jab, cross, hook, upper cut and more. If you’ve already learned the boxing basics, you might be ready to tackle the Advanced Boxing Workshop. Classes are taught by Tramaine Crook, a certified coach with USA Boxing with five-plus years’ experience in boxing and personal training.
