The last day of operation for the Health Plus Fitness Facility in Kensington Garage will be Dec. 21.
From Dec. 21 to Jan. 5, faculty and staff will have an opportunity to use the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center (VRWC) facility during the Open House. As of Jan. 6, membership will be required for the VRWC Facility.
New this year, eligible Faculty and Staff will have the option to apply their Go for the Gold Wellness Credit to their Health Plan Account or toward a membership to the VRWC in 2014.
Faculty and Staff who are paying for Vanderbilt Health Plan Befits can earn up to $240 by completing all 3 levels in the Go for the Gold program:
- Bronze: Complete the Health Risk Assessment by Oct. 31, 2013 and receive a Wellness Credit of $120 in 2014.
- Silver: Complete the Health Risk Assessment and the Wellness Actions Log by Oct. 31, 2013 and receive a Wellness Credit of $180.
- Gold: Complete the Health Risk Assessment, the Wellness Actions Log, and watch the Game Plan for Your Health video. If you complete all three steps by Oct. 31, 2013 you will receive a Wellness Credit of $240.
A survey will go out to all individuals who have earned the Go for the Gold wellness credit after the Oct. 31 deadline and will ask individuals how they want their credit applied—into the Health Plan Account or toward their VRWC membership.
If the survey is not completed, the wellness credit will default to the Health Plan Account on Jan. 1, 2014.
If you choose to apply your credit to the VRWC the following chart shows how your Go for the Gold Wellness Credit will be applied toward membership for each level. Be sure to complete all three levels to receive the full $240.
