How much is government responsible for controlling health care costs? Is consumer-driven health care a viable option? Is pay-for-performance a potential solution to skyrocketing medical bills? These are just some of the hot button issues that were debated and discussed at the inaugural Health Care Business Alliance hosted by the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management. The Health Care Business Alliance was held at the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt on Oct. 31-Nov. 1.
The Health Care Business Alliance brings together leaders from a diverse group of local and national health care companies with health care MBA and MHA students to discuss the latest challenges and future innovations of this vital industry. Friday’s keynote speaker was former Senate majority leader and transplant surgeon Bill Frist.
