This forum focuses on the recently passed Higher Education Act and what its implications will be for Vanderbilt. The keynote speaker is David Cleary from the Office of Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn. David is Sen. Alexander’s key education staffer on the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions and was instrumental in the crafting of the final legislation.
Joining David is Doug Christiansen, associate provost for enrollment and dean of admissions, to offer a campus perspective of the impact of the Higher Education Act. Beth Fortune, interim vice chancellor of public affairs, moderates.
