It’s the second leading cause of death from cancer in the United States. Research shows colon cancer can be decreased up to 90 percent by removing polyps from the colon before they become cancer, yet half of those people, who should be checked, don’t have the screening. But a doctor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, says he knows a colonoscopy can save a life through his very personal story.
