James Crowe, M.D., is a Vanderbilt professor of pediatrics, microbiology and immunology; Ingram Professor of Cancer Research; Director of the Vanderbilt Alliance for Nanomedicine; and Director of the Vanderbilt Program in Vaccine Sciences. His laboratory has a broad portfolio of work in the area of microbial pathogenesis and immunity, with an aim to discovery of mechanisms important to the development of new vaccines, and has ongoing work with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), influenza viruses, human metapneumovirus, rotavirus, novel coronaviruses and vaccinia virus.
