The Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center is offering a variety of youth programs designed to make this a memorable summer for all who participate.

For those enticed by adventure and the great outdoors, CampVandy W.I.L.D. (Wilderness Immersion and Leadership Development) is currently open for registration. The program will be held the week of July 11-15 for ages 13-15. This adventure program is designed to provide teens with an opportunity to break from the typical summer experience and explore the wilderness areas around Middle Tennessee. Outdoor activities will include hiking, flat water boating, rock climbing, a high ropes course and zip lining for $285 for the week. Registration is still available, but space is limited, so do not delay in signing up.

Also available this summer:

  • CampVandy offers a safe and secure opportunity for children ages 4-13 to learn valuable skills while making new friends through themed programs that are challenging, educational and fun.
  • Vanderbilt Swim School hosts summer swim lessons for ages six months and up. No matter the skill level, there is a class for you or your family member.
  • The Acorns Youth Swim Team offers Nashville youth the opportunity to improve existing swimming skills and learn the value of being on a team.
  • Youth Boxing is a coed, non-contact class for ages 12-17. Participants will learn to move like a pro boxer while having fun and getting fit.
  • In Youth Tumbling, children ages 3-8 learn the fundamentals of gymnastics and tumbling through floor exercises and skill-building techniques. Enrollment is limited, so register early.
