The Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center is offering youth programs this summer for every age group. Register now to keep your kids active, learning and having fun over the summer months.

CampVandy, now in its 24th year, offers a safe and secure opportunity for children to learn valuable skills while making new friends through themed programs that are challenging, educational and fun. CampVandy is weekly from May 30 through July 29 for ages 4-13.

Vanderbilt employees and VRWC members receive a special CampVandy rate of $165 per week. Nashville community members can register for CampVandy at $195 per week. Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. each day.  Early care is available from 7 to 8:30 a.m., and after care is available from 4:15 to 6 p.m. for an additional fee.

CampVandy Mini-Camps also are available as add-ons to the regular camp week for children 8-13 for an extra $65 per camper. Three new mini-camps will debut this summer and run for two hours each day during the week. CampVandy Aquatic Survival Skills Mini-Camp is June 13-17; CampVandy Survival Skills Mini-Camp is June 20-24; and CampVandy Space Mini-Camp is June 27-July 1.

Weekly outdoor activities will include hiking, flat water boating, rock climbing, a high ropes course and zip lining. The cost is $285 for the week.

Main areas of emphasis include enhancing community, teaching and encouraging sportsmanship, and creating a fun-filled yet competitive swim experience for participants and their families. Dues for the 2016 swim season are $165 per swimmer plus a $50 deposit.
