Vanderbilt Star is back! The second annual amateur songwriter competition, a benefit for Next Steps at Vanderbilt, has been rescheduled for March 22 at 7 p.m. in Ingram Hall.
This year, Belmont University students are competing in addition to Vanderbilt students. Ten contestants will perform original music in front of a panel of judges and a live audience for a chance to win a one-song recording deal with Lamon Records. The judges will select the top three finalists, and the audience will decide the winner.
Tickets on event day will be $15 for students with IDs, and $20 for the general public. Get $5 off per ticket by purchasing in advance online. Students wishing to use their Commodore Card may purchase tickets at Sarratt Student Center.

All proceeds go to Next Steps at Vanderbilt, a two-year postsecondary certification program for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Ingram Hall is located at the Blair School of Music, 2400 Blakemore Ave.
