Dayani offers seated exercise class

A new group fitness class for people who want to gain upper body strength and endurance as well as cardiovascular fitness while in a seated position will begin at the Vanderbilt Dayani Center for Health and Wellness at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 16.

The “Live With Strength” class is designed for those who use a wheelchair or who have limited function of their lower body. However, the class is open to all participants who have difficulty exercising in a standing position.

The first class is free, and subsequent classes each Thursday will cost $10 per class, or $8.75 per class with the purchase of an eight-class punch card.
