Vanderbilt University may nominate one candidate for the Rita Allen Foundation Scholars Award Program for 2014. This award provides $550,000 over five years for young investigators involved in research in the cure and treatment of diseases in the fields of cancer, immunology, and neuroscience. The foundation seeks candidates of extraordinary promise with recent appointments at the faculty level, and projects with above-average risk that break new ground and challenge the status quo.
Anyone interested in being considered as Vanderbilt’s nominee must submit the following (in PDF format) to LSO@vanderbilt.edu by 5 p.m. on Nov. 14, 2013.
Submissions should reference the program name in the subject line of the email. All applicants should verify their eligibility in advance through the foundation website.
Once received, all proposals will be forwarded to an internal review committee that will choose the final nominee.
If you have any questions about the foundation or its interests and priorities, please contact Adele White, director, foundation relations, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (615) 936-1599.
