Humphrey Fellowship Program seeks Friendship Families

(Vanderbilt University)

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is seeking Friendship Families for international fellows during the 2011-12 academic year.

The Humphrey Fellowship Program brings accomplished mid-career educators from developing nations to Vanderbilt’s Peabody College of education and human development for an academic year to study, gain professional experience and foster cultural exchange. The program provides a basis for lasting ties between local residents and the fellows and strengthens the global exchange of knowledge and experience.

Friendship Families (which can be families, individuals or a couple of friends) are an integral part of the international fellows’ experience in Nashville. The mission of the Friendship Families Program is to assist the fellows in adjusting to life in the United States and to provide an opportunity for cultural sharing between the Friendship Families, the community and the international fellows.

Please note this is a friendship/support program, not a live-in program.
