Wide receiver Jordan Matthews, BA’13, was selected 42nd overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the NFL Draft on May 9. Matthews, the SEC’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards, is the highest Vanderbilt draft selection since offensive lineman Chris Williams, BS’07, who was picked No. 14 overall by Chicago in 2008.
